DISTANCE FROM THE DREAM: Songs to Face a Vanishing America weaves together the most urgent and provocative songs of the musical theatre canon to reflect on a nation in turmoil. Featuring pieces from Tony Award-winning shows like RENT, Spring Awakening, Cabaret, Falsettos, Hadestown, American Idiot, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and more, DISTANCE FROM THE DREAM explores rebellion and resilience from the perspective of young artists and activists. From high energy group numbers to powerhouse solo numbers navigating stories of found family, defiance, survival, and the fight for identity, the show asks: what does it mean to dream of an America that feels increasingly out of reach?
